Dieter studied Sustainable Development at the University of Graz, where he focused on social entrepreneurship and the role of smallholder farmers in food systems. His interest in executives’ influence on the direction of their organizations led him to his current PhD studies in strategic management and organization design. His research focus is on the influence of executives’ personality in the context of strategic decision-making and organizational change. In particular, he is interested in how CEOs’ curiosity helps them to redesign and adapt their organizations. Beyond the research desk, the outdoors are his biggest passion (moutainbiking, alpine touring and climbing).
